I posted a question in my Instagram stories asking what everyone would like to see in the newsletter this week. One person asked if I live in an a-frame and to talk about it, so here we go! My name is Leah, and I started A-Frame Dreams about five years ago. We were renting an A-Framesqe guest cottage back then, and we loved it.
The small house had a wide open floor plan with tall ceilings and was surrounded by nature. In 2017 we had a baby and knew we had to find a larger place to live in since our little cottage didn’t have any bedrooms. I started house hunting later that year and kept finding adorable A-frames that were not in the area we wanted to live in, but I knew I had to share them with SOMEONE, so I started my Instagram account one night and continue to post these cutie houses five years later. We wound up buying a little mid-century ranch but plan to move to an a-frame once we find the perfect place. This one was a contender but wound up selling for more than I wanted to spend, and so was this one, but it was too close to the river, and the river floods. The search continues!
Please go follow @monterio.aframe! When the current owners bought this house, it was completely painted white, and I have been watching them transform it into this amazing, colorful wonderland over the past year, and I can’t get enough. I love when people have fun with their A-Frame’s interiors!
Just look at this before and after! Like, WHAT?! So much fun.
Check out the new tote I added to my shop this week! Also, you guys LOVED the LEGO A-Frame I shared last Friday, but if it was a little too much $$ for you, here is a cute little lower-priced alternative!
