Last weekend, I went up to the cabin and laid the VCT tile I told you about a couple of weeks ago. It took approximately 7 hours, and we couldn’t walk on it for 24 hours, so we came back home after we finished. My plan was to go back up this week to seal it so that it would be ready for us to use this weekend, but the air quality was hazardous due to the smoke from the wildfires in Canada :( I’m going back up tomorrow morning to finish the job! I took one picture, and here it is:
In other exciting news, I got a sofabed for the cabin! I talked about using the IKEA couch I currently have in my living room, but the sofa I was going to replace it with didn’t work out, which is a whole other story. Here is the new sofa:
Here is a close-up of the fabric next to the floor tiles:
The sofa was $300, and I’m in LOVE! It’s clean, comfortable, and of great quality. I swapped out the sofa in my rendering so we could see how it would look. Things are getting wild!
As I am typing, this house has a very RARE opening in its calendar in a couple of weeks! Hopefully, it’s still there as I press publish. It’s usually fully booked YEARS in advance because it was built just yards from a WATERFALL!! Someone go snag this stay and let me know if it’s worth the hype.
